Principal's Message

Welcome to Patrician Brothers' Primary School, Fairfield.

Our school is one of many in the Catholic system of schools in the Archdiocese of Sydney. We belong to the Southern Region of the Catholic Education Office. The school was founded in 1953 at the request of Cardinal Gilroy, then Archbishop of Sydney, who asked the Patrician Brothers to open a school for boys of the Fairfield area. The Brothers came to Fairfield at that time and continue to provide ministry in the area. The dedicated and committed staff of Patrician Brothers' Primary work very hard to foster the ideals and traditions of the Patrician Brothers' Congregation in their teaching and pastoral care of the students. The charism of the Brothers of Saint Patrick is alive in the school.

The school community, through its Mission Statement, Strategic Plan and everyday routines, present Christ as the central focus of the school and that by strengthening an authentic relationship with Christ we can be confident of facing the challenges in family, school and the future and be "morning watchmen at the dawn of the new millennium" as is Pope John Paul II's hope (Novo Millennio Ineunte, c9). At Patrician Brothers' Primary, we value each student as a unique gift of God and we endeavour to assist the student in reaching their full potential in the many spheres of their life.

One is impressed in Patrician Brothers' Primary by the breadth of our curriculum, the focused teaching, the excellent work in Literacy and Numeracy, the quality Religious Education program, and the sporting and cultural opportunities provided to the boys in the school. The students are well catered for according to their individual needs. Provision is made for the Gifted children, those with Special Needs and those with ESL needs. The staff of Patrician Brothers' Primary is exemplary and totally committed to the development of the students.

As the only lay principal, it is my privilege to lead Patrician Brothers' Primary School. Sincere thanks to all members of the School Community for your support, cooperation and encouragement and all you do to create the wonderful school that is ours. I pray that our students will continue to grow and learn, and in love for Jesus, who is at the heart of every school endeavour.

May God bless you all.

Mr. Warren Loy
